NetID Activation:

In order to activate your NetID, you must  have an active role as a student, faculty or staff within Rutgers University.  Log onto and select the NetID Activation tab  on the left hand column on the screen and input all your credentials. If you are unsure of having an active role at Rutgers University, contact the Registrar’s at 973 353 5324. If you are a guest requesting a NetID, visit


Password Reset:

To reset your password be sure to have an active NetID. Then log onto  and click on manage NetID password on the left colum of the screen.  Click on the Forgotten  Password  and then input your credentials at the required fields.  Next skip the Activation Key field and answer your security questions.  If you are unable to answer the questions, call the Help Desk for assistance.
