Welcome to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey! This page provides the information you will need to get off to a productive start on campus.
All faculty, staff, students and guests are assigned a Rutgers unique identifier known as a NetID, comprised of initials and a unique number (e.g. jqs23). In order to access many of the electronic services available to you at Rutgers, you need to activate your Rutgers NetID. Your assigned NetID will appear on the activation screen.
Allows you to activate select services such as Rutgers Connect, ScarletApps, Box, Zoom, Webex, and VPN
To reset your password be sure to have an active NetID. Then log onto the link below, and type in your current NetID & Password. If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the Forgotten Password and then input your credentials at the required fields. Next, skip the Activation Key field and answer your security questions. If you are unable to answer the questions, call the Help Desk for assistance.
Individuals are prohibited from sharing passwords or log-in IDs or otherwise giving others access to any system for which they are not the information owners or system administrators with the appropriate authority
Phishing is the fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.
Two-Step Login with Duo
Two-step login with Duo adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring additional confirmation of your identity beyond a NetID and password.
Rutgers Connect is the central email, calendar, and cloud services system designed for faculty and staff, based on the Office 365 suite by Microsoft

Remote Access VPN provides connectivity that allows remote computers to behave as though they were directly attached to the campus network infrastructure. While connected, resources only available to computers directly connected to the campus network are accessible.
