Account Basics – All faculty, staff, and students are assigned a Rutgers unique identifier known as a NetID. In order to access many of the electronic services available to you at Rutgers, you need to activate your Rutgers NetID.

Guest NetIDs and Accounts: Guest accounts are intended to support the activities of Rutgers University. Guests are expected to use their Rutgers accounts only in support of their work with Rutgers. Guests should become familiar with the User Responsibilities section of the Computing Policies page. All guests and their sponsors are responsible for abiding by the policies described on that page.
How to request this service:
A guest account can be requested by a full-time Rutgers faculty or staff member. This individual will be considered the University sponsor and will be expected to maintain contact with the guest.
Annual renewal notifications will be addressed to the sponsor as well as the guest.
To request a guest account, the sponsoring department should complete the online form located at: https://requests.rutgers.edu/
RGAMS – RUWireless Guest Access
The RUWireless Guest Account System is now available to all Rutgers University faculty and staff members at:
Employees are able to create accounts valid for up to seven days in all areas serviced by RUWireless. This will provide RUWireless access for campus visitors whether for conferences or any other events. After signing in click Manage Guest button. If access is needed for periods exceeding seven days please contact the Help Desk.
